Business Secretary Lord Mandelson has signed off a petition for the High Court to wind up Group 20, Vehcile Options and related companies in the public interest........The move follows months of investigation into Group 20 and its associate, Vehicle Options, by the CIB — the arm of the Insolvency Service which investigates complaints against companies ranging from improprieties to fraud. In September 2008 Gary & Heather Franklin ceased operating the Group 20 Supercar Club leaving members without cars and franchisees without a business. The Franklins who owe hundreds of thousands of pounds will appear before the courts soon. Both Gary and Heather Franklin have been arrested and charged by Kent Police on Theft and money laundering, after an investigation into missing Children In Need charity money. The case will now go to the High Court...................... NEWS UPDATE....5th March 2010.... GARY FRANKLIN DECLARED BANKRUPT............. Neither Gary Franklin nor Heather Franklin were in Court today, but their Lawyer said Gary Franklin had declared himself bankrupt yesterday, Gary Franklin who now works for Kent County Council, looking after their Gypsy sites in and around Kent was not available for comment......... "Fraudster leaves job". Kent Messenger. "CONMAN Gary Franklin, who cheated Children in Need out of thousands of pounds, has left his job as a manager at Kent County Council.
